Support & Training

Family Support Organization of Essex County is a family-centered, family-driven nonprofit organization that provides peer support, education and advocacy for parents of children who have emotional, behavioral, mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental challenges.

POAC is a non-profit that provides hundreds of free events for the autism community including: free training and education for parents and educators; free recreational and support services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families; and free training for police and first responders which is saving the lives of children with autism throughout the state.

Parent to Parent USA offer support as a core resource for families with children who have a special health care need, disability, or mental health concern. Through a one-to-one “match,” experienced support parents provide emotional support to families and assist them in finding information and resources.

Partnership for Children of Essex (PCE) uses a Wraparound model of care to design, implement, and manage Individual Service Plans (ISPs) that are specific to a child and family's individual strengths and complex needs.

we are an alliance of more than 30 state-approved private special education schools in Northern and Central New Jersey dedicated to helping parents and educators better understand and access appropriate program options in special education.

All the materials found on the Center for Information and Resources (CPIR) Hub have been created and archived for Parent Centers around the country to help them provide support and services to the families they serve.
